What is your go to cut/protein for issues?

I assume a lot of people will say bone in chicken??

In our house, it seems like turkey necks are a fix all! If any of the dogs have loose stools or they need a little extra bone it seems like turkey necks fix the issue much quicker than chicken.

Plus my dogs love them, so we keep plenty on hand.

What is your go to cut/protein to fix loose stools?

I like them because they are so easy to feed! And since we feed twice a day: one boneless one bone in, it works out perfectly. I also am planning on taking these with this weekend for their bone in meals while we travel. Easy to just pass one out to each of them in the evening, plus it will help keep things firm. They all tend to get a little loose while they're so active and swimming at dock dogs. I'll pack a tupperware full of turkey necks and one of their boneless beef & pork for morning meals.

In 3 months I can honestly say we haven't had much loose stool especially anything like cannon butt, but if we were it would probably be chicken breast bones, we buy them in bulk and take the breast meat off for us and leave the tenderloin on for him, it's probably the equivalent of a chicken back as far as bone/meat content goes.

Turkey and chicken necks are our go-to! Ive only had one cannon butt incident between the 3 boys, and that was when Rhett got into the in-law's dog's kibble, but he was fasted for 6 hours after that and then he had turkey necks and a skinless/fatless leg. Like Swolek none of my boys are gulpers on RAW, so necks help a lot!:)

when they've had one too many boneless meals, our go to is anything with bone....lamb ribs, pork ribs, goat ribs, chicken drumsticks....(for liquid stools)

since we walk our dogs, we are always aware of their poo.....and that's how we pick their next meals....so if malia squirts out liquid, she gets a drumstick..which is surefire solidifier...

bubba seems to have that cast iron stomach....

we do tend to feed some pretty hearty red meats....so i think three of those meals is the limit and then it's time for a nice boney something.

Luckily, we don't have any poop problems, but because of money issues we do feed mostly chicken quarters. I can get calf/beef liver cheap also, and have found a good source for bulk beef hearts. But quarters are the majority main meals around here.

Skinless chicken necks worked well when I could find them, but they aren't always available... So minor incidences = chicken wing or chicken foot, major incidences = fasting!
