Raw Feeding Central NC?

Hello all,

I was referred here by a member of germanshepherds.com to learn more about sourcing and feeding RAW. I've been interested in starting off my 4 month old Tiberius on RAW since before I got him. I've heard of so many success stories and have researched the benefits.

I have had him on Blue Buffalo Wilderness since I got him and switched from Puppy to Large Breed Puppy. There was also a week where I had him on Primal frozen RAW (which he LOVED).

My question is, for those of you feeding RAW (specifically around NC) where are you sourcing your bulk meat? I've asked around some local grocery stores (Whole Foods, Fresh Market) but they don't seem to have many scrap cuts. I got some marrow bones cut at Whole Foods that I give as treats and he LOVES those too. I know he would do great on RAW, but I just want to find the most cost effective and sustainable source near me.

Thanks a bunch for any info!

:D

Hey - I used to live in the Triangle. Check out the yahoo group - TriangleRaw, I think - lots of good information for the Triangle and across the Carolinas and southern VA. Most of the folks aim to feed ethically sourced meat, but many (myself included) found it prohibitively expensive and mix in commercial sources.
