To their dogs health.
I was out in the park this morning on a bit of a play date with one of the local pups of the same age as mine. They ran around like -well puppies, till their little tongues were hanging out the sides of their mouths. Being that the park is covered in ice and there is no water, they both decided to chow down on the ice.

I then notice that my friends pup is leaving a trail of blood on the ice from where her gums are bleeding. The owner did not pay a jot to this, or when I tried the subtle hints on teeth care and the joy of RMB's.

Now I might be overreacting but I am fairly sure the pups gums should not be bleeding at this age!!!!!

If the owner thought this was normal, then this probably happens more often than it should for the little pup. How old are they? I'm assuming they're past the teething stage.

Yes, could it be that this dog was just teething and had loose teeth and the crunching on the ice was irritaing it because my dog was kibble fed until a year old and didn't have bad dental health at that age.

I would say he just cut his gums on the ice, but I'd reccommend to your friends that they at least give their pup some good RMB for chewing on.

All of my friends who don't raw feed have at least taken my advice on that.

I would assume that it just got cut on the ice while they were crunching on that. In fact, my dogs will do that occasionally too and it happens.

But, to not seem concerned about it is another thing.
