I have been looking for a cheap source of boneless red meat for Monty. I know a bunch of yall feed beef hearts. No where around her sells them, but I found pig hearts at an asian market for $1.89/lb. That is very affordable for me. Is that an okay source of boneless red meat? Or does it have to be beef heart? We get him other cuts of beef, but I just haven't been able to find heart.

Same goes for liver. At the asian market they have pork liver. I got a 2lb liver for $1.88. Beef liver around here is expensive. Like $5.00/lb. Does it matter where the liver comes from? Or is pork okay.

Monty LOVES liver by the way. It's by far his favorite of everything he's eaten so far.

Pork heart is fine. It should count as a red meat as well I would think. And pork liver too. Its organ, I say go for it!

Have you tried asking at the grocery to order a case of beef heart for you? Beef heart is by the most nutritious and you will be missing out on some very important nutrients IMO..

Yes. I've called multiple. None of them carry it. It's very sad.

Yes, Food Lion is great and their prices on beef heart are really cheap. They also have beef tongue and kidney.
Look into BI-LO if you have them in your area too.
