what do you all do about your older pets tumors? Leave them alone or have the vet surgically remove them?

It all depends on where they are located and how serious they are. I believe that question would have to be given to a vet who has seen them. My dog had a tumor on her for years. It was located in a place where it wouldn't be wise to have surgery done and it was harmless. It was just ugly as it grew. But, we didn't care how ugly it was cuz we loved our lab.

Does the vet think the tumors are cancerous of benign? If it's just a fatty tumor that older dogs sometimes get and the tumor doesn't bother or impair the dog, I would leave it alone. If it may be cancerous, I would take into concideration the dogs age, overall health, risks of surgery vs. risks of leaving the tumor alone.
