That's a great site. We have a ton of ticks in our state and one of my dogs actually tested slightly positive for Erlichiosis on her annual heartworm test. Until then, I didn't even know they tested for that, and according to the map on that site, our state has a high incidence of the disease.

We just treated our yard and the dogs for ticks. I hate to have to do it, but sometimes you have to resort to chemical measures just for your own safety.

There are also natural remedies for your yard and your home, just as well for your dog.

I used a chemical on my dog ONCE, many years ago.

I've used Springtime's Bug Off Garlic the last 3 1/2 years and recently have switched to Earth Animals Yeast Free Bug Off just this past march. I've never had a problem with either.
