we rescued a black lab / bloodhound at 10 weeks 5 weeks ago. He has been energetic and seemingly happy. His poops have been various stages of diarrhea for the entire time. We tried three high priced kibble with no success.

The vet recommended a food that they carry, but we decided to go raw first. After 4 days of mostly chicken and some canned albacore (it's our product - cooked once in the can - nothing added), he finally had a solid stool.

Woo hoo - so glad that he must be feeling better.

Thank you!

So glad your pup is feeling better. We had the same story. We spent the first 6 months after adopting our girl trying to get 1 ....just 1... firm poop out of her. I would have settled for even semi-firm. And yes, we also tried the high end premium brands even a deydrated raw. She otherwise seemed fine but really this could not be normal so the research started...and then we found raw....and 36 hrs after her first meal...voila firm poop. Now its not so much about the poop but everything else that just screams "good health".
