Soup bones are usually weight bearing or knuckle bones and have the potential to break or crack teeth. Shiloh broke one of her carnassial teeth and had to have it extracted. Now she has a lot of tartar buildup on that side of her mouth since she no longer uses that side to chew on that side. I personally wouldn't chance it with any of my dogs so I don't recommend it. There are people that have given their dogs soup bones for
years without issue, so I guess it all depends on the dog.
