Can someone give me some/any info on this? I have heard it mentioned before so im curious.
I feed the dogs fresh from the east china sea salmon very often. They both love it and with a very hungry tummy, my Maltese will accually eat it raw.
So please educate me on the dangers and what I need to look for and not/do!
thanks!

All I know is that wild caught salmon from the Pacific Northwest (NW USA, Western Canada, Alaska) CAN have a parasite that is dangerous to dogs. Freezing the salmon for a few weeks will kill this parasite. I don't have a clue about salmon in the east china sea. I know atlantic salmon are ok and South American salmon are ok.

I personally would just freeze ALL types of fish for a few weeks to get rid of pathogens. But that is just what I do to be on the safe side.
