I just started the PMR diet on Tuesday. All 5 of my dogs have been doing awesome on it..only one episode of diarhea on the first day.

My question is if they are just on Chicken now and I want to give them time to adjust and keep them on chicken, is it ok to give them chew bones of a different type of meat?

My one husky chewed up a hat of mine last night and found him chewing on socks today which he doesnt normally do, not sure if its the lack of rawhides/chewing bones, or if our usually very well behaved boy is starting to go through his teenage years!

You can try and give raw beef ribs. They can be fatty so you may want to trim as much off as possible to prevent diarrhea.

that's what we did.....my malia didn't do too well with fat in the beginning, so we stripped off the excess fat and gave those to the dogs.

we don't feed rawhide at all....and bullysticks make them drink too much..even though they are just dehydrated ones, not smoked.
