So my PetSmart has started carrying Pet Promise as of this morning. The rep spent a lot of time this morning talking it up to me, and I told him what I personally expect of dog food and why I would not be feeding his food. I must say he didn't get defensive like the SD and Nutro reps do, and we had a nice conversation. He told me that he's glad I take such care with my dog's diet. Basically Pet Promise is better than Science Diet and Yuck-enuba in that it doesn't have byproducts or BHA, but it's still got corn gluten meal and brewer's rice as well as several other questionable ingredients.Their main selling point is "organic." Big whoop. I think a lot of the whole organic craze with the big dog food companies is just a way to trick consumers.

This won't be a product I recommend to my customers.

Yeah, I don't see a lot of people buying it because it's pretty pricey and doesn't offer anything new or good to the market.
