I think there might be some conspiracy (actually its been proven to be healthier to eat a late night snack before bed because it keeps your metabolism going, otherwise your body goes into "starvation" mode and shuts off...which is why you wake up hungrier when you eat later...ie your metabolism has been going all night) about it being bad for us to eat right before bed...so I think it should be fine that you feed late at night. Either way, if you keep an eye on body condition it shouldn't matter either way. I think its mostly people who are worried about gaining too much weight, or losing weight, are the ones that are worried about eating late at night.
