What exactly is it?
And I want to know if it's good for them, what is the price range?

I have a 96lb golden-pyrynese mix and a pit mix puppy who will be high up in weight as well as he weighs 30lbs at 4 months now.

You should read the other threads because we have talked about it a lot. RawFed also has a link in his signature that will give u more information. Obviously it is good for them since it is a natural diet and many people are doing it...I don't think anyone would do something knowingly if it were bad for their dog.

I researched for awhile and my dogs have been on raw for several months.

First thing I noticed is their teeth - they look spotless. Absolutely the cleanest they have EVER been. Beautiful. White. No smell.

Next - their coats. They look great. Shiny and smooth.

Then - the smell, virtually gone. It is so much less, not to mention the reduction in pooh. Wow.

Finally - the costs. I shop at 'ethnic' stores and have had good luck getting dog food for under a $1.00 a pound, which is less than CHEAP dog food.

I feed mostly chicken and poultry, with some cow and pork. (Depends on what's on sale!) Then they also get organ meats and occasionally fruits or veggies. I love this diet! :)
