Hello,
Does anyone know the energy requirements for the adult non work dog and a geriatric (old age) dog?

Thanks

Energy requirements really depends on the dog. My 3 are all adults of the smae breed (18 months, 4yrs, 5 yrs). The 4 yr has the most requirement to keep weight on, the 18month needs the least. I've own senor dogs that required almost as much as puppies to keep looking good. So you really have to know your dogs and their needs because there's not a "real bible" of what a dog requires, only suggestion of where to start. Which mostly say older dogs need less than younger dogs, how much more or less depend on size, activity, and health. This does not take into acount metabolic rate ("poor keeprs" over "easy keepers").

dogfoodanalysis.com has a calorie calculator and you can choose activity level. I use this from time to time to adjust food amounts, as I go by calories for most of my animals. (except the bunny :)
