I know this is against the principles of this thread But....

There is a lot of talk of organ meat at the moment on here which has me thinking of the importance of it.

I use cooked liver (so much easier to cary then raw liver) as a training food, which is about 1 lb per month which would be the entire of the 10 % needed in the PMR. Would this count as part of the organ diet or should I still be feeding raw organs as well?

If you go here:

http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/

And put in beef liver. Then select either raw or braised and compare them side by side, you will see that cooked liver actually concentrates the vitamins and minerals in the liver (by removing some of the water).

Because the nutritional numbers of cooked and raw liver are so similar, and actually cooked liver has MORE vitamins and minerals than raw, I have no problem with people searing the liver if that's the only way their dog will eat it.

And yes, dehydrated liver treats count as liver as well.
