I have a female boston terrier she 6 months old. The purina beneful puppy growth formulas she has been eating gave her an allergic reaction. I have been researching dry dog foods and found this is a very good brand. I juat can't decide which of the two to pick? They are both grain, soy, and corn free which what i need.a lot of Boston terriers are allergic to those ingredients. So just to be safe I'm going to purchase food without them. Just having a tough time choosing. I think the ranchlands sounds better, but not completely. Any help would be great. Thank you all in advance.

Both are good. Can you get samples? Your dog may do better on one than the other, or you can rotate them, which is good, too.

Unfortunately I cant get any samples since there are no stores in my area that sell it, i have to purchase online. I think i will rotate the flavors, start with Ranchland then rotate to grassland. Thank you for help

I have two purebred Bostons, one has horrible allergies that I've been dealing with for 6 years.

First of all, I would STOP feeding Purina immediately, and Beneful is the absolute worst food that Purina makes.
When you choose a new food, be sure to stay away from Chicken products as much as possible. Chicken is the most common food allergen. Stick with novel proteins such as rabbit, duck, venison etc.

The very best thing you can feed your dog is raw meat, again sticking with the novel proteins previously stated. Your vet will most likely warn against this type of feeding, using scare tactics such as bacteria, salmonella etc. Do your research! Dogs have a different digestive system than we do and they can handle raw food quite well. As with any raw meat product that you handle in your kitchen, always be very careful to clean your hands and surfaces.

Good Luck
