I have a 7 year old Lab/Pointer mix, 80lb, kibble fed. I started him on a raw diet 2 days ago, initiating the diet with raw chicken breast, no bone as suggested by another site for the first 3 days. I woke this morning to vomit and diarrhea all over my floor. He vomited a small amount a few more times during the day, noting some of it a red tinged color...blood?!?!? He has not eaten or drank anything and things seemed to calm down until later in the afternoon. He attempted a small amount of water, less than half cup, and it came back up within seconds. He is no longer interested in drinking anything since...its been 2 1/2 hours since last vomit spell. I am afraid of dehydration. Any thought on what could be going on? Thanks in advance

Helllo Dexndaisy,
So sad to hear about it. Usually, when you change diet it takes time to manage new diet for your dog.
As, your dog is7 years old, you should try to fast your dog.
And feed him water in small amounts. Because, it's not good idea to dehydrate your dog.
If it still continues to vomit, consult your vet.

May your dog get well soon.
